The Crew Fitness class is a 45-minute, instructor-led experience, motivating our Crew to reach their fitness potential. Crew Fitness is for everyone: you’ll go at your own pace, but with an instructor to guide and coach you through a full-body workout. Our signature class is an exciting combination of rowing&biking + strength&toning. High-energy atmosphere, great music, and passionate coaches make each Crew Fitness class an inspirational experience.

the classes

The Crew Fitness Signature uses the rowing machine and the stationary bike for cardio plus dumbbells and bodyweight movements for strength and toning. Standard classes are 45 minutes long and Express classes are 30 minutes. Classes are designed so that each person works at their own pace, choosing weights and movements that are right for them. There’s no such thing as being ahead or behind in a Crew class, and there’s no such thing as winning or losing at Crew. It’s just exercise! and it’s FUN! and it WORKS!!

WHAT WE DO AND WHY WE DO IT

The Crew Fitness Program combines three key components of fitness: zone 2 training, strength+stability, and VO2 max training. It caters to individuals of all ages and fitness levels, offering a well-rounded program that delivers real results.

Let’s dive into each of the 3 factors of fitness:

Zone 2 training is the foundation of fitness, and it’s the foundation of our program. It’s 30-45 minutes of moderate work. Your heart rate is elevated, but you’re not working so hard that you need to stop. It strikes a balance between a challenging workout and truly enjoyable fitness. At Crew, we do this using rowing machines, stationary bikes, and floor exercises that are tailored to meet the fitness level of each individual in class. Each person works at their own pace to find that sweet spot.

Zone 2 is our key fat-burning zone in exercise, so you’ll torch the calories, but leave feeling clear-headed and refreshed. You’ll get 2-3 classes per week devoted to establishing and maintaining this foundation.

Strength and stability are at the core of your fitness for daily LIFE, and that’s our second focus at Crew. Increasing your strength will increase your confidence and make daily activities EASY. Strength training not only boosts metabolism, making calorie burn more efficient even at rest, but also improves muscle mass, bone density, posture, and balance. Twice a week, you’ll get strength-focused classes at Crew.

VO2 Max training, marked by intervals of high intensity followed by periods of rest+recovery, pushes your limits and increases your aerobic capacity. VO2 max refers to how much oxygen our heart can pump through our bodies: to our muscles and to our brains. The higher our VO2 max, the more we can do! Increased VO2 max is not only associated with a healthier life NOW, but is also highly correlated with increased HEALTHSPAN, or how long we can expect to live WELL, with a healthy mind and a healthy body. This is when we push you to push yourself, and it’s where we see quick and noticeable changes to your fitness. One class each week is devoted to this game-changing, and life-changing factor of fitness.
